For sale is a pair of 1967 915 HP heads. These are the true performance heads as indicated by the L casting and the exhaust valves size being 1.74 inches. I cannot guarantee these heads but I don't see any damage. Each head has one stud broken off into it but it's fixable. Price is $450 shipped from Atlanta Texas 75551.

I have a set , and a guy listed a want ad for a set of L castings, so I got mine out and snapped a few shots and sent them to him and said I wanted $500 for them and I even had a set of SS valves, the heads have never been machined at all and he laughed his *** off and offered me $100 and I told him to f off. Don't let people beat you up on these they are getting to hard to come by as you know. FYI the L castings have the 1.60 and the H.P. heads have a big H.P. stamped in the end and are 1.74.
I could be wrong but all the H.P. castings I have seen don't have the L?
Any body know what the difference is?

Exhaust valves measure 1.74. I thought the L heads were 1.74 because that's what these are and i have read that in the past. Could have been changed I suppose.

If you look at the top picture those have a K on them? So now I really don't know

Mine have the L and the HP stampings and have 1.74 exhaust valves. No doubt they're true performance heads. One head it is very faint, but the other one it isn't there. But the heads were off of the same motor.

The 915 head is one year only, and the 5th digit of the Mopar for 440 Non HP is K. L is for all HP 440's in 67. The real secret is Chrysler ran out of L heads before the end of the model year, and used the standard head on the 440HP. I know this because a good friend of mine has an original Charger R/T, and had never been apart. It had the non High performance head on it from the factory.

O.K. but I have seen 915 with no letter and my L castings are not stamped H.P.

I have an original pair with the L stamp, but not stamped HP. The main thing is to have the 1.74 valve.

as they say in the antique business, just because its rare, dosent mean its valuable.

i think 400$ is a fair price though.

Sale is pending for $450 shipped. The guy supposed to be paying me today. I have another inquiry on these also.

Thanks for your input! Cleared up some things for sure. There was a guy that was trying to tell me that the K head was the performance head because that's what the book said. Mopar didn't always go by the book LOL

The 915 head, apart from being Identified with the 67 HP engines, do wonders for the lower compression pistons being used today. They are an excellent head on a 400 that is closer to 7:9 compression. I am averse to selling 915 heads at all, considering what I would have to go through to get another set.
