I am looking to buy the clutch pedal assembly and any other items that i would need for a 71 B body. I am going from an auto to a manual.
Thanks

fyi - also need
bellhousing
transmission
trans linkage
shifter linkage
shifter
tunnel "hump"
Z-bar
possibly weld z-bar bracket on frame
Z-bar hardware (pivots, bushings)
possibly a steering column "collar" if you want to look original & you've got a column shift
not sure about driveshaft...might be the same

Thank you. I am trying to find an 833 local due to shipping prices coming to Hawaii. I'm not planning on having the car running for a while, so I have time for it to sit.
What is the z-bar. I don't know if I have seen that one.

I have floor-shift steering column...for power steering....if you need one.....also people will need to know if it is bench seat or bucket seats...two different setups...

Thanks. I am getting kind of over my head. I will need one. I haven't figured out the PM thing. If you want to send me the price and I will reply back.

I have a bench seat set up.

Z bar: torque shaft. Also called a bellcrank.

z bar goes from trans to frame rail.

Transfers motion from clutch pedal to clutch fork.

Frame rail mount is weld on for these cars.

Bench seat cars and buckets with buddy seat/arm rest used a long shifter handle and the forward mount position along with a larger mount and shift rods.

Bucket seat with console or no console, no buddy seat used the E body short shifter and corresponding mount and shift rods.

Check brewers for parts and part numbers.

"Z-bar" is just slang for....hmmm, I guess you'd call it a "clutch linkage bar". It's a tube that goes between a stud on the bellhousing & a stud on the driver's frame rail. It has one "leg" where the clutch pedal linkage attaches & another "leg" where the clutch release fork linkage attaches. The two legs on the tube very roughly make a "Z" shape.

The bellhousing side pivot location is on the bellhousing itself, but the frame rail side needs a little bracket about the size of the palm of your hand. They come on manual cars, but I think you'll have to weld one in place on an automatic car you're converting. You can buy them pretty cheap.
