So I tore down my mystery motor yesterday in order to send it out to the machine shop to be cleaned. Everything looked pretty good all the bearings had lube a obviously had not been run but a few did have some scratches from dirt I'm assuming but nothing real bad. The crank was pristine!
One of the questions I have is about the rod bolts, none had any identifying stamps other than a rectangle on top. The nuts were not flanged, one fell out of the rod and it was knurled like an ARP. I looked at images and searched the web and could not find anyway to I'd them. Are there any stamps on factory bolts? The closest one appearance wise was the ARP WAVELOK for an LA like the pic below, I didn't take one of the actual bolt...dumb....
I don't want these to be the weak link in the build and if they are, I will buy the ARPs and have the rods resized. Any pics of a factory rod bolt vs an ARP, Milodon, Moroso would be appreciated!

I probably do at home but ARP bolts are noticeably different, hard to explain but they are pristine in comparison just in the quality alone.

65wgn has confirmed what I have.... I guess I will order new bolts and ship the rods off to be sized and new ones installed.
Thanks guys!
