I tried the cayenne pepper to keep my dogs from digging up tree roots, it didn`t work at all . Rottweiler and german shepards .Maybe try sprinkling some cayenne pepper around your deck. If you have a dog then don't do this
Like the idea of plugging him. The problem they frown on that. There was a bear called Knucklehead, he was in our backyard. Daughter had screen door open and her pet rabbits were thumping like crazy, they could smell him. She shut the door before there was a problem. He ended up in a guy's garage and the guy shot him. Arrested for illegal discharge of a firearm and another charge for killing the bear. Paid a fine of at least $500 and a lawyer$$$, monster hassle.just watching "Alaska the last frontier" and apparently their VERY tasty![]()
There was more than one reason the old timers had dogs for companions. Warning of wildlife was one.firecrackers work for the moment, we used to carry them when we went brook trout fishing in the woods up north. Scary as hell waking up in a tent at three in the morning with a bear wondering thru the camp site.
Sounds like something needs a *** whoopin! Good Luck with that!So he gets on top of the gate, but instead of going down the stairs, proceeds to get back on the inside, tear down the gate, then go down the stairs? And after drinking all the humming bird feed! What a bastard!
heard a commotion outback last night, our cat was out so I thought she'd caught a mouse or bunny. flipped on the light and sprawled out next to the deck was a couple day old fawn, then saw momma and a second fawn a few feet away. I'm still not sure if the cat jumped the fawn or maybe the fawn ran into the deck or something. Sorry could get any pics.
There was a kids movie with a raccoon in it. The movie took off in Japan and kids had to have pet raccoons. Well the novelty of having a pet raccoon wore off and people let them loose. Now they can get rid of them.have wanted one of those as a pet since I was a kid ( we cant have strange animals as "pets" in Australia ,no monkeys, raccoons, big cats etc )
Had 2 pet Raccoons, they are amazing little animals. Both of mine would crawl up my clothing and lay on my head with their legs drooping down. They also learned how to turn on faucets, open cabinets, put out cigarettes and slept with our Rott. Haven't been able to shoot one since.Have yet to see a domesticated raccoon. They will tolerate humans are fun to watch. But not something you want to leave loose in the house while you are way.
I have a freind that use to have a pet grizzly. They don't live long domesticated.
