paint and chrome questions?

Hey guys,

As you can see in the photo's I have my 70 RR in the shop getting ready for paint and I have a few questions. Hope you guys can answer me. since my car isn't an all #'s matching car I am making her the way I would have ordered her from the dealer. So with that being said I am going with Vitamin C outside with an black interior. So my question is how much the original cars where painted body color and what was painted black for the interior, was it just the insides of the front doors, because the door panels didn't go all the way to the top of the doors? Question number 2 I am trying to determine the status of the chrome stuff I have can it be re-chromed or is there good quality chrome out there? I have the 2 vent windows and a bumper that is pretty beat-up I need to find the front and rear window trim. Can anyone help pictures are Great also!

put AMD bumpers on mine in 2012. They look great, and fir perfectly. Maybe not for a show car, but more like factory chrome, but I'm very happy with them. And Tony's sells new vent frames if you wanted to go that route.

Plymouths the inner perimeter of the door was painted from where the door weatherstrip is attached if different from exterior body color. For example a black car with red interior the inner portion is red. So you would have vitamin C exterior and up to the midline of the clip area and black from the clip area to the inside....

As far as chrome goes...a member gave you the best/affordable option above

If you wan to save on chrome cost then you have to find a good candidate for chrome....

So the whole area that is red is paint?

Front and rear window trim is stainless. These parts can usually be picked up on this sight or ebay. Can be polished to a nice shine. Just look for anything that isn't bent or deep scratches.

On the door it is red up to the door seal. The rest of the door is body color inside and outside it is split at the seal around the inner perimeter.

The rear upper removable metal door pads are painted the interior color....The upper metal roof rail frame is painted interior color...
