It has been a long process but I have some paint and my molding back on the car. It turned out extremely well considering it was done in a machine shed. We used single stage Utech Acrylic Urethane. The paint is like iron. I still need to go over it with the P1500 Trizact pads to remove the dust nibs but I am happy with it. Time for some mopar cop wheels.

What color are you painting the wheels?

I don't know yet? That's a good question. I was thinking black or white but am open to suggestions. Gpuller, yours look sweet the body color. I just don't know on white.

I would go body color but that's just me.

White with white body color wheels, dog dish hubcaps and redline tires to match the red interior

Dont think you can get 295/50/15 redlines...

Perhaps not... BUT... you can add a Redline stripe to your tires using a couple of different methods.
First and easiest way is to buy a Redline Stripe Decal Kit... Peel & Stick or Permanent... either works. Several places sell them... custom lettering kits too.
Or there is the old school method where you scuffing up a 3/8" wide stripe on the sidewall of a rotating tire, and apply a Red liquid rubber compound. They sell kits for that too.

Thanks. A lot of time, patience and money went into it. Still finding stuff that needs fixed. Just fixed the wiper motor. It was completely seized as the grease inside turned into solid hard wax.

You can get 295/50r15 redline tires. . I've seen them on a 68. I think diamond back tires can make them. Pricey but cool looking

I agree with Reed... if your running cop wheels, go with the body color. Besides, white on white gives it that cool factory race body look.

I have to admit, for the first time I think body color looks better than black would in this picture.
But, I still have to vote for black paint in most cases.
Keeping wheels clean is not worth it to me.
And this would be a nightmare.

I have 2 of the factory 15x7 cop wheels in black now. They don't look bad. I'm going to paint the new 15x10's the body color and see what I like. The white accent the slots in the wheels in this case. The black kind of hides them. We will see.

looks great I am doing mine in my garage that is not much different than a shed . little tough but that builds character keep up the good work it will all be worth it when you stat to drive it .I am still thinking about painting wheels
