Anyone know what these grommets go on/around on this 62-65 drivers side firewall insulation? Also does anyone have a part number on them. I can barely make out 22773??

Thanks!

My 63---- speedometer cable go's through lower left. Upper right------unknown. Maybe these two holes were used for rear battery cables?

Could one of those holes be for the cable on those cars that had a manual choke (i.e Max Wedge)? I believe that the factory installed that cable to the left of the steering column.

2holes for htr & 2 for a/c ?

The section of firewall insulation you're showing is to the left side of the steering column. The speedometer cable goes through the upper hole and the lower hole is debatable. Some think it is for the choke cable. Mine has the location indent there.

The grommets you're showing might just be for the other side, heater core tubes. I've never had mine out.

Huh? I thought it was a new-fangled "lane assist camera" or something. KK is gonna want more info, you know that. I'm curious too, just for the info.

Aren't all the heater/coolant lines on the passenger side? I believe my 65 is passenger side. Not familiar with the 62-64's.

Here I go oldbee! Lol

That would have been my first guess but I didn't see a rod on the outside. So the rod is on the inside of the column? Or is it underneath where you can't see it?
"rod" is inside the column. pull the rubber cover back and the mechanism resembles a 3sp column shifter but uses cables rather than rods.

my '65 is driver side. pretty sure all 62-65 is driver side. '66 and up passenger side.
