Hi Folks,
Gary Lowry, newbie to the site, but life long Mopar lover, racer, etc., etc. Raced a 440, a 446, a 540, and a 572 RB engine combinations in both front & rear engine rail/dragsters. Mostly ET. class Super Comp, Quick 32 & Quick 8, and finally Top Dragster. Held the NHRA competition # of 413 for 29 years. At 58 sold the racing operation, and found myself bored to death. Fast forward to 2017 and enter a really (I think) nice 67 Belvedere, heading towards a GTX clone/tribute. Love the site, tons of helpful posts, beautiful cars, and nice folks. So long for now, from deep East Texas.

I think this was in late 07 before we got out. Running Alcohol injected 572 Indy head package. 1.05 @ 60' 4.60 @ 150 in 1/8th and 7.41 180 in the 1/4. Leave the line at 3K shift @ 7K and cross usually 7250RPM. Rand a 3.90 rear with big 16X33.5 Hooisers. Zoomie headers gave it a sound very different from the 85 to 90 % chebbies in our area.

1981 State Capitol Raceway. Won the NHRA Div. 4 Super Pro Eastern Regional race. Double points that race and allowed me to clinched our home track (Porter /Eastex Raceway's point program. It was over a100 degrees all day long. That's my ugly mug by the Trophy girl.
