They stabilise the the side to side sway and let the springs move freely.

Some changes since this pic. Changed to QA1 shocks and took off the MT Radials and replaced for 33 x 19.5" Sportsman Pro's.

Strange rear and center with 4.56 locker.

They also help lower the rear of the body over the wheels.
