Finally my K frames turn in the barrel. Looks a bit rough to me, with weld slag and gouges and scrapes and dents. In the shot from end to end are both legs supposed to be in line?? Is this a repaired K frame or do they all look this f'ed up? lol. Thanks. Ghost.

That was a hard hit....I would think the drivers side mount position is affected....Looks like it in the pics...

Just trying to make light of the hard hit your K-frame apparently took.

If the geometry on the k-frame is good, and the reinforcements and welds are good, those gouges can be repaired. My 73 K-frame was caved in on the center of the structure about 3/8 of an inch deep and I had an expert welder cut out the center section, heat it and pound it back into shape and weld it back in so its straight. I had a lot of slag on mine, that's pretty normal, but I ground it off and sanded a few spots before it went to get blasted and powder coated.

I don't see anything in those pics that is more than cosmetic. Does it bolt up easily and square to the rails? If so I'd use it. Cosmetic damage is an easy fix. The welds from the factory can always be rewelded as well. Heck I wack them for pan clearance, weld them up and finish with body filler.
