What if the spider that you killed, spent his whole life living in your house thinking he was your roommate.

Ever think about that, yeah, you only think of yourself.

The wiffy doesn't like spiders, frogs or birds in the house. They need to know that for their on good.
After all they can think? Right

True story,

11:00 one night, getting ready to turn in and I keep hearing a car horn blowing. It's pouring down rain as I look out my front window and I see car headlights down on the main road.

So I bundle up and drive down to see what the problem is. Pulling along side of this car and waiting for whoever is behind the wheel to roll down their window, I'm starting to think this might be some kind of a setup. Finally this older woman rolls down the window and says "I'm not running over any of these, they are our ancestors!" I asked "What are you talking about?" Then I notice all of these frogs crossing the road.

They were migrating from the swamp on the one side of the road, traveling up to the pond on the other side.
I told her "They're not my ancestors and I'm going back home!" :realcrazy:

I don't kill spiders. I'm fine with them as room mates if our paths don't cross too often.

If they do I escort them out side.

My rule is I don't kill anything that eats things that are nastier than they are, and I try to educate others about that as well.

That snake you're about to kill would MUCH rather be eating the disease carrying rats and roaches in your back yard than F-ing with you.

You might change your mind when a brown recluse gets ya while you're sleeping or put on clothing that's been in the closet for a bit. I look at it this way, if there's spiders in my home, then that means I have an insect problem but I generally do not have that problem. Sometimes spiders come in from the weather or they were looking for a place to set up shop. I've caught them before and put them out but I've also have missed them and when that happens, I'm on kill.

There is currently a Banana Spider web out side my back door, stretching from the hedge to the top of the screen door frame. About 4 feet diameter.

It's smartly positioned so as to catch insects trying to fly in if the door is opened, and it's high enough not to bother or be bothered by the cats.

As far as I can tell it's been there about 7 generations.

Sadly I think the latest keeper has either moved on or passed on as I haven't seen anything there for about a month.

Yeah, I draw the line at a brown recluse or black widow.

Banana Spiders are super common in FL.

If you walk through the woods, you're probably gonna see one.

It's kind of funny to watch someone who doesn't get out much run into one for the first time.

They are HUGE and the webs are huge and thick.

it's like something from a horror movie.
(even the scream from the victim)

I had a sister in law who was bitten by a recluse in Montana of all places! Not a southern state spider anymore. When she arrived back home in Maryland she had to go through several skin grafts.

A longtime member of the Chevy "Tifive" website got bit in FL by a brown recluse spider. He told us about it and was treating the bite himslf. He said the bite spot was enlarging if I recall it right. His daughter came on his page and told us he died a few days later. He was a senior and a bachelor. Great guy to know on the website. He had a St Bernard dog that he loved and posted pictures of. The daughter again came online and asked if any members would take the dog. She said her father spoke highly of the members and she thought one of use would take the dog. And one out of state member did which was mighty big of him.

Spray the outside of your foundation once a month with a good grade of bug spray. I don't have an insect problem since I started doing this.

I bought a few parts pre-paid from a parts truck my brother was buying.

catch was I had to go help pick it up.

When we opened the hood there were about 250 tiny, black widows all over the place.

Nothing like working around and under something with that creepy-crawley, itchy feeling and having to stop and look at yourself every few seconds.
