LOL!! We have those too and they too can give a pretty good bite. Been awhile since seeing one and when I do, they are in places that keep me from doing yard work etc so I'll remove the web in hopes they will move but that never happens. They just build right back in the same spot. Kinda what I figured would happen....Banana Spiders are super common in FL.
If you walk through the woods, you're probably gonna see one.
It's kind of funny to watch someone who doesn't get out much run into one for the first time.
They are HUGE and the webs are huge and thick.
it's like something from a horror movie.

I do that too but when it rains here, it's usually pretty hard and washes it away so I'm not real crazy about using insect sprays very often. It isn't something I like to do since I'm pretty close to a major watershed into Galveston Bay.Spray the outside of your foundation once a month with a good grade of bug spray. I don't have an insect problem since I started doing this.
