vacuum advance canister source for b engines

I ordered vc3015 and vc3008 from napa, will have by Wednesday. Only diff in those 2 are at what vacuum the advance begins. Both adjustable. That vc155 looks very close, I think the vc3033 I got is for electronic distributor not points ...

I searched high and low, then bought a reman distributor just to get the vacuum advance. When that one turned out to be bad, I gave up and do without. I drive in the city, always speeding up or slowing down, rarely cruising, so I don't care. Initial+mechanical = it is what it is.

I hear ya, I already did that once but I really want my vac advance working. Hopefully I can come up with something other than replacing the distributor every time !

Some one needs to repop these at a reasonable price. I heard from a member Tony's parts is looking into getting them made. It really affects me doing rebuilds, I have a bunch of B/RB dist rebuilds without good vac advances here. Pics I do not go by at all I have been burned by them as being a stock photo but not listed that way. I am pretty sure rock auto is out of them I went through all the numbers one day and they had a few that were out of stock. E bay is worthless 90% of the time they list it as say a 440 and it is a la that fits into a 440 model car, and the pics you cannot trust. Hate to say this we are kind of stuck buying $75 vac advances, or a rebuild that may or may not work in your application.Any one find a source let me know it would be appreciated. Now on the bright side they are not the 69-71 electronic retard ones that start at 200 and can be bad.
