Got 5 years before I hurt it.

So, I hit my target of 4 lbs of boost with a peak of 5.5 lbs at 7000 RPM. I programmed the map sensor to take out 2* per lb.Car feels better then ever!! Going to a track rental in a few weeks, would like to see 10 to 12 lbs:D

Well God is good,,,,and so is boost! Went to Lebanon Valley Raceway for the weekend of 10/22/17.Made 6 passes on Saturday and 4 on Sunday.Saturday I stayed on pump gas Taking 2* out after each pass.It kept picking up till 24* and it fell off a hair.Put it back to 26*.Best pass on the mountain was 9.7 @ 140 on pump gas.
Was making passes with Bill and his AWB HEMI.That trans brake got me by 2 or 3 outta the gate!!....LOL

A spectator shot a vid of the best pass of the weekend. This was 6# boost.

Very coool! Nasty I would say! Looked like he had you off the line then you got busy and took the run. Loved it!

Al likes boost ...
Al LOVES boost!!! It will put a smile on ANY face!:)
I regret NOT doing a blower 20 years sooner. This engine was 1st put together in 2008 with a pair of 750DPs that came off the tunnel ram.I was happy going low 10's and crusin like 2000 miles a year.
I went to Lou & Jim Vignogna. The Vignogna family was a racing family with several Hemi superstocks, the Bohemeth which was a wagon and several others. They got much ink back in those days with so many MOPAR rags still in print.

Still have a few photos from the tunnel ram days:usflag:

Way back in '99,if you look close you can see the dual plate big shot NOS........

I know the blower "sucks" but I look at the scoop and just wonder if it restricts air flow. Looks kinda small?

the scoop helps on the top end to get air into the carbs or injection . the proof is on long runs like saltflats or dry lakes events . even sprint cars on the small ovals run better with a scoop directing air . and for boost 30psi is what my bud runs his salt machine at . for miles , minites at wfo throttle . hemi-itis , is that a dryer's drive setup like my 383 ?

It's all BDS,bought it new from them,,,and they took advantage. That's all part of the learning curve.

mine was a used drive i built from . did you ever have belt issues with that idler off the nose like that ? i've changed the blower bearing plate to a new dryer's type . having rudy petra r&p blowers work my setups and blowers . he has sold and built me a dozen or more blowers over time from 4-71's lots of 6-71's and my golden 8-71's . one 8 is a billet case , he says its good to 50 psi . thats a bit more then i'm going for , lol ;) . there based for my salt flats project . monster blower on small cubic inch motors makes a easy boost .
