How's about a little fuel injection?

HT which intake are you running? You might have mentioned but I didnt go through the whole post again.
I have the RPM and have some concerns...seems like FI units prefer single plane from what I've read, but I've also read that milling down the floor divider a 1/4-3/8" will make the RPM work fine...My intake is brand new and I really don't want to shell out another $300+...
Thanks!

I’m running the rpm as well. Doesn’t seem to be any issues at all with the intake.

Hoping the Terminator applies...the only real difference that I know of is the Holley discharge is below the butterflies. Hopefully it will be a moot point.
I am curious though if a dual plane w/FI will respond in the same manner as with a carb by moving the torque down lower in the rpm range.
The Eddy RPM is a great intake I think primarily due to the added height and runner length compared to other dual planes so I would really like to keep it. I don't think there is a better one for a street car.
Also what side is every one running thier O2 sensor on???

I know on engine masters their Holley unit gave them problems using the dual plane

I wonder the same thing. I ‘guess’ it will, right? But then I never really understood why a dual plane lowered the torque band...

Agreed - I always figured this was my last intake. Even if I decide to take it down the track a bit, most I’d probably do is port it or go with an Indy dual plane (do they even make one for a low deck?)

Driver side. They recommend passenger side if you’re in the Southern Hemisphere.

Did you upgrade the charging system on your car? We are working on a '70 Charger for a customer. We are going with a Sniper, Tanks Inc and their fuel pump.
wondering if the stock alternator is up to the task with the pump. No electrical fans. Just the pump.

From what I've read and general opinions is that there is lessdisruption of the sir flow to each cylinder that cams produce because of overlap... I've never tested the theory but it sounded plausible...

GPuller, first pictures of the 70 and the set-up. Second, I would say as long as you are going straight to the battery for all constant power for the injection and pump it should work, but I would feel a lot better with a bigger Alt on it.

Right. Holley wants all power for the Sniper to come directly from the battery. The Sniper has all the relays for fuel pump.

I'm running the sniper with a Tanks Inc setup, on a stock style alternator with external voltage regulator. Haven't had any issues so far, however at idle the voltage is kind of low. An upgraded alternator certainly wouldn't hurt. It's on my list of things to do in the next year or so.
Oh, I'm also using a Performer RPM dual plane and haven't had any problems with that either. Runs a lot better than it ever did with the holley 750 that was on it. Of course I've only got about 500 miles on it so far.
I can say that the fuel pump is much louder than I expected, even with it being in the tank. This may have something to do with my complete lack of any kind of sound deadener or even a trunk divider and jute insulation behind the rear seat. All I have is carpet over the floor and it sounds like there's a vacuum cleaner running in my trunk.

I was like yeah whatever about the directly to the Battery thing, until I saw a video about making sure you are as close as possible to the Capacitor (AKA Battery)

Man, never heard that about an in-tank pump before. That’s the thing you’d hear about a frame mount pump. Do you hear it above engine & exhaust?

My in-tank Hyfuel kit from fitech, I can hear it prime the system before the car starts, but after that not a chance.

I can hear it over the engine and exhaust at idle, even standing behind the car. Once I'm cruising I don't notice it. I was surprised at how loud it is. It makes me wonder if there's an issue with the pump or regulator or something, but fuel pressure sits right around 58-60psi and it runs great, so I'm thinking maybe I just need to do something to insulate the sound more?

I’m pretty sure @coloradodave is running the same tank kit. Maybe he’ll chime in. Sounds odd to me but I can’t say what would cause that.

The Sniper does not have Fuel pump speed control like the FiTech, but I am not sure I would want to run a fuel pump feed from the Throttle Body to the Pump..

I knew one had the capibility but wasnt sure which. I was just thinking if that may have been the problem pump slowing maybe becoming more audible with the different frequency....I like the thought of regulating pump speed by demand...

Hey Dan,
I'm now using a Rick's custom S/S tank with a Walbro 255 in tank pump. Like you, I hear the pump prime the FiTech and that's it. No noise while the car is running and I have pretty quiet mufflers and complete tailpipes.
