Help me select an engine color

I'm building a 440 that is going to drop into my 69 Coronet (pic below). I don't care about being stock. My original intent was to do something that was dark and sinister.

Here is what I have already:
Blue Coronet
Black engine bay
Black RPM Intake
Bare Aluminum Perf RPM Heads (can be painted)

Everything else I need to get still. I was thinking black Mopar Performance Valve covers and Air Cleaner, and maybe a black pulley set.

Anyone have ideas? Or even better, pics?

The factory gold was on my 58 Fury 350 Golden Commando engine.

I'm going to go with the black crowd. I think with the right valve covers that would look nasty along with the rest of your color scheme.

I've always liked black motors and think it would look great....I also like silver blocks with aluminum and black accents...
I've been think about the same thing on mine but hell I can't even decide on a body color...leaning toward a candy gold.have no idea what would go with that!!!

Thanks for all the feedback. My only hesitation with black is everything being so black you can’t see anything.

The owner before me painted it the engine bay black. I was half thinking about shooting it blue when I take out my existing 340.

Whatever color you want on the engine is fine, black, hemi orange, I've even seen body color on the block before.

I think painting the firewall and inner fenders black is a Chevy thing. I never did like it unless the whole car was painted black. Jmo
