Had to look twice.HOLY CRAP- did you see that?
To the left, was this pic taken 20 yrs ago?
Did You do a walk around? I don't get not firewalling it. Fab work work looks pretty fabulous on it. There's a lot of effort in it. The blending of Buick trim & dash into it I like. Google: Berlin BugI believe that was at the Detroit Autorama a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately I did have time to take pictures of everything.
Ever wonder why the Stang was all beat/dented in that movie? Wasn’t it filmed in April 1968 and the cars were not even a year old? Good movie though. I loved seeing all the hubcaps keep flying off.
Did any of u read the Saturday evening post (back in the day) , that had an article about how much faster the "show room stock" dodge was than the car Mcqueen built himself ? They were all in amazement , producers, cast and Mcqueen himself. The stang was a little faster in the corners, but quickly got ate up on straighter roads. It was in the script for the charger to get torn up.Ever wonder why the Stang was all beat/dented in that movie? Wasn’t it filmed in April 1968 and the cars were not even a year old? No, I didn’t read about the film cars back then, but I have heard over the years that the Charger completely out gunned the Stang. Not surprising.Did any of u read the Saturday evening post (back in the day) , that had an article about how much faster the "show room stock" dodge was than the car Mcqueen built himself ? Movies are made for the un informed, ( artistic license) A Mustang chased by a Studebaker Lark would not have been very impressive ..............................MOGee, maybe because the mustangs were 390's & the mopes were 440's....HELLO!
