2040 no petrol in france. who's next

just saw on the weather channel that France will ban all petrol by year 2040
who will be next ? that's why I'm driving my car as much as possible.
you know when your come up to light with your car and everybody is electric.
they will shame you for burning gas.

Gasoline is expensive in Europe. I can see only Diesel and electric cars in there future. What happens over there does not mean it will happen here, at least in 22 years from now. Vehicles that operate on alternate fuels are going to happen, all one needs to do is read. We've progressed quite a bit in the last one hundred years and will continue in the next hundred years. In 2040 with Gods good graces i will be still alive and be 88 years old. If i have my 69 and still can drive i intend to do just that, if i cant drive maybe one of the Grandkids will drive me around in it. Gasoline will still be available so dont panic.

You're killing me smalls....I will simplify this.....when "climate change" happened it killed most living things on Earth....they didn't "adapt", they died.....dinosaurs didn't adapt, right? That was climate change.

I like gasoline (petrol), but I see two good options. #1 Increase my compression ratio to 14:1 and run methanol or #2 Buy a Tesla & run it in "ludicrous mode" so I can run neck & neck with a Hellcat.

If gasoline is ever phased out, classic car purists will be left out in the, I'd say cold, but will be politically correct and say climate change. True hot rodders will adapt and convert their cool rides to an alternative. It'll be the same as those folks in Cuba that have kept classics going using whatever means they can. After all, its all about the car, not necessarily what powers it, right?
