the Wife DESTROYS the kitchen.....

Then dont complain.Nobody has it perfect in life. Your a nice looking couple, your wife is a beautiful lady, enjoy yourselves. I humored you yesterday, today you get told like it is. Its my mood swing.
As nice a guy as you are, when i hear this **** i get annoyed. You praise her but post on the internet and say she is a slob. Clean it up yourself, it bothers you, clean the kitchen yourself
Im not complaining because i took my wedding vows seriously, for better or worse, in sickness and health. Ive waiting on my wife hand and foot for the last 8 years. Im not a hero, dont want no medals, its life, whatever comes your way and if it were me, she'd do the same.
But this may sound fucked up or whatever but when i see a guy who has a healthy wife, a pretty wife whose only thing is, she is somewhat unorganized, not that she is dirty or a slob in the true sense of the word and he is complaining about some nonsense, i want to ripe that guy a new asshole
You have any idea about how many guys just right here who lost there wives, or wives are ill and would trade places with you in a second as far as having there wife back or healthy and not complain?
So ok i know you love her as you say and all those other nice comments but your thread is something best kept to yourself and id bet if she ever saw it, her foot would be up your *** and rightfully so. End of story, now go buy her some flowers.

I think guys are just venting a little on our forum since it's like bs'ing with your buddies. When you have a keeper, like you said, you take the good with the bad. I'm married 30+ years. My wife is a neat freak and my house is immaculate. She stopped working when our first was born so she does it all herself. The downside of all that is that she expects me to be as neat as her.
I separated our domains so that doesn't become a constant fight. The basement is mine, my mancave is mine, my clothes closets are mine and the garage I keep the Satty in is mine and she can't dictate how I keep those organized/clean. How's that working out? She's from BROOKLYN !!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Jeez, Steve...maybe you should walk a mile before saying my shoes stink...

The Wife and I have a great relationship. We BOTH are well aware of each others strengths and weaknesses. She clearly acknowledges her sloppy nature, she says she learned from her Mother. The point I made, which I guess others missed as well, was that the ONLY thing that I can complain about was the way she "keeps house". YES, I know that I am lucky. I would not trade her for anything. I have known of guys that have dealt with all sorts of problems with their Wives.... Women who bitch all the time, cannot be trusted with money, have substance abuse trouble, shitty in laws, etc. I have none of those burdens.
You are wrong...if she read the post I made she would first grimace, then laugh at it. I do not post anything that would hurt or betray her or anyone. To me, integrity matters.

Yes dear,
then do what ever way, you like anyway... :bananadance:

Lisa was a slob, messy cook, but it was always clean before bed
I'm a stickler about that stuff
I can't stand cluter

I am a cleaner as I go,
you have idle time anyway while there
why not make use of it ?

my dad is the same as Lisa was
drives me crazy he won't wipe down the stove after cooking
it's just lazy, pisses me off, not argument pisses me off
but you know it needs to be done, "just do it damn it"
it takes like 30 seconds or a min. maybe

I do most all the cooking, he's what we call "the kitchen bitch"
he's the rinse the dishes off, barely & just put them in the dishwasher

I wash the dishes by hand,
I rarely use the dishwasher
I do unload it & put everything away too

funny thing is Lisa's car were immaculate
the horse barn & stalls were immaculate
the bathroom & the bathroom counter was a disaster area
with 4 girls
the kitchen was a mess while she cooked

Man I really miss Lisa
I complained about her quirks, when she was alive,
doesn't everyone ?, at least I wasn't "pussy whipped"...
I'm not some misogynist/chauvinist asshole "like some are" either...

we had a great give & take relationship, no one was right always
that's how a good relationship works, it's called respect !!

Yes dear, I'll obey, now go away :carrot: leave me to my ways
{when she turned to walk away, I'd mumble some **** under my breath, I'm sure she would hear too}

It has annoyed me for years...the thought of any relationship where one person was totally dominant over the other. How sad that is.

she cleaned the kitchen top to bottom this morning. I wonder if she saw this thread? :wetting:

I dont know about walking in your shoes LOl, but hey you did call her a "slob", and she must be a really nice easy going person to laugh over you writing that in this forum. If i was you id still not chance it and show her, you just never know with woman.
Greg i mean no real offense but we all have our plus and minus's and what ever works for you both is good enough. Buy her those flowers anyway.

the shop is always cleaner than the kitchen
Does it stink too? Consider yourself lucky if not, I have a relative who leaves dishes, food etc out forever... disgusting smell all the time!

I'm lucky, married a neat freak but it has it's drawbacks too. She hates carpet because she can't see the dirt to clean it!!! That's exactly why I do like it and of coarse it's cozy.

no, it never gets that bad...…. neither one of us would ever tolerate the smell

I think some people in this case a few wives are a little less organized. There is a difference between dirty and clutter.
My neighbor up the street had four girls. Her husband was gone from 6 till at least 6 every day. There was always friends over there and she cooked big meals every night, always making extra just in case someone dropped by and was hungry. All of this and she was PTA president and always active in her children school. I was in that house many many times, needless to say it was always spotless. Those girls were like any other girls, but they towed the line and cleaned up after themselves.
I guess it comes down to what you want, some are less concerned and have different priorities, some are laid back, some are well yes slobs.

Maybe my use of the word SLOB was a stretch. The Wife is more of a "clutter" type person than a dirty one. I've often thrown out stuff that she didn't notice for weeks...or ever!

I can somewhat relate. My wife Submit is VERY neat, but she likes to collect piles of paper & some clutter. I call her heaps of paper "Gomer's piles". That said, I've pretty much learned to let it go. She lets me do what I want and that's all that really matters. :D

My wife is the female version of me. We're both neat freaks, somewhat OCD. In fact, what sealed the deal for her marrying me was the first time she came to my house when we were dating. She saw the rolled socks, folded underwear and shirts, and clothes hanging on hangers evenly spaced 2 finger widths apart, a carryover of my military college days that I live by to this day.

Regarding the kitchen, I'm more organized than her when prepping a meal, but she always cleans everything up really good after she cooks. I couldn't live with someone who was messy and disorganized.

so it turns out it is MY fault the kitchen gets out of hand...…

but after careful research I think I found out what is going on

it seems the clean dishes never get unloaded from the dish washer, which leads to a sink full of dirty ones...… she is only 5' and claims she can't reach the cabinets. OK, I will put clean dishes away (takes 5 mins). Now dirty dishes can be rinsed in a clean sink and loaded directly into the dishwasher...….BAM!

now with a clean sink and uncluttered countertops, the trashed stove top sticks out like a sore thumb...… and she's not too short to reach it...……. kitchen been clean for over a week!

I think your getting played, my wife is 5' tall and can reach.:poke:

If that's all it takes your in good shape now. My wife does just about all of the cleaning but I make an effort to load and unload the dishwasher plus vacuum the floors so she can relax when she gets home (works 2 days a week).

Women love to go shoe shopping, offer to buy some hooker heels next time out. She is now 5'6" and more fun to watch!

I too am treading dangerous waters, recently asked why the kitchen is never clean got a handful of excuses and apparently it’s my fault... even though she sleeps til 9am and I’m gone from 4:30am til 4:30 pm.

It’s funny though because anytime her mother is here watching the kids when I get home she immediately apologizes for anything she didn’t clean and details everything she did clean...
