I have a 440 Satelite with a factory electronic ignition, ive set the timing and it runs strong while in park. As soon as I put it in gear it stalls without hesitation.
This is usually caused by a lean mixture situation where the engine can't overcome the load put on it by the torque converter so it just pukes. All the suggestions above are correct so you need to find out why your A/F ratio is anemic. There are a lot of variables here so I'd start with vacuum leaks, then timing and finally carb especially the mixture screws. Here's a trouble shooting guide with lots of things that can cause your issue:I have a 440 Satelite with a factory electronic ignition, ive set the timing and it runs strong while in park.
