This is a local shop for me and he said he was going to clear the the lettering before laying on the black but it sure doesn't look like it to me. He wasnt there for me to ask what happend when I picked them up. Not sure what to do with it now?

Call him and ask. The last thing you want to have to do is keep sanding it time after time. The details in the lettering are already almost gone, and regular upkeep on your part won't help and probably wasn't in the scope of your agreement when you hired the place.

Motor finally done and ready to go in. Just need to fill with oil, prime, and make a couple upper brackets for alternator and steering pump. Carlisle here I come!!!!!!

Made some progress over the past couple weeks. Still wringing out the wiring harness. Dash needs to go to powder coat and I realized I shouldn't mount my ECU next to my MSD box so now It needs to move. Something about RFI interference who knows. Trans is back from ProFormance transmissions in Delaware. Billet steel front drum, Bolt in Sprag, Low Gear set , 4 Pinion Billet Planetary, Rollerized, RMVB w/Low band apply, Custom 9 1/2" Converter from Frank Lupo 4200 stall. Trans went in car yesterday. Need to powder coat trans cross member and get that in. Radiator shroud got modified to clear the vacuum pump pulley and I sent the Meziere water pump back to get a smaller one. All in all I'm moving along but it's really starting to wear me out everyday not stop working on it. Hope I can keep up the pace really shooting to get thing done for Carlisle....

I made it myself. I cut it out of a sheet of aluminum with a plastic core I got from Mcmaster Carr. It is light weight and hold screws very nice. I also made two more panels under the dash.

A layer of flexible LDPE is sandwiched between two thin layers of aluminum for strength and rigidity. Use these sheets outdoors as wall panels, canopies, and building cladding. One side is painted black; the painted side is normally exposed.

Wiring is mostly done. What a Nightmare!!!!! Originally had the ECM for the FAST next to the Ign box but changed that and put it over near the glove bos to shield the it from RFI..

Got a RACEPAK IQ3 and mounted it in the original Dash.

Had some custom brackets made for alternator and power steering pump. The whole thing with the double serpentine and Meziere water pump was a royal pain in the ***. I'm also running a moroso 4 vane Vac pump with a Jones racing mandrel drive and a big Wizard radiator. It's tight like OEM tight but works.
