Hey Mopar men...and ladies. I'm looking to find someone who can hang new quarters, rear valance, trunk pan and partial rear rails here on long island Suffolk county if possible. I've got some crazy number on it and I really cant a afford sacrificing my 1st born child to do it. I'm very mechanically inclined and do most of my own work but just never ventured into body panel replacement and I know this is not a novices place to begin. I'm not one to drop something off and go pick it up I'd like to be involved do as much as I can to ease the $$ burden if possible anyone out there that can help lead me in the right direction? Thanks

See if you can get a recommendation for a heavy body guy looking to do work on the side.

If i may offer advice i learned the hard way- be careful looking for 1 guy, as opposed to a company/ business. I tried to save a buck going this route. Hiring " body " guys to do side work. I've been through 5 people so far. And still need fenders done. Paid all of them a percentage to get started & cover material expense.
When they screw up, you have little pratical recourse. I've had to repo my car from painters twice. Here's a pic of a screw up that cost me $3000.

I feel the exact way but I was given a price of 24,000 for the work...and honestly it's not going to be a 100 point show car I just want something decent for another 15 grand I could buy another whole car. Just grasping at straws

Sounds like me, two years & big $ ago. I think it clouded my judgement too, 5 in a row ? Geez. All i can say is, if you find a guy, look at at least 2 of his cars in person- not pics. And talk to their owners.

I definitely would nonot getting sucked into promises world i could see 10 grand for the metal work plus materials but 24,000 is nuts if it were a bonafide GTX yeah but mines a sport satellite I've got a date correct 440 6 barrel air grabber hood 4spd 489 (case number) posi rear I mean it would be a nice driver which is what I'm looking for.

Holy **** that's some of the craziest stuff i've ever seen what moron would do that and say "yeah it's all done for ya" your quarters look good though lol

The guy before him started on the car. Then ( after a deposit ) let it sit for months. As other quicker turn around work came in. Mine was used as a work bench/ shelf. When i went to repo it, he showed me his pistol. Had to call a sherrif. And when cops call tow trucks it costs more.
