This popped up on my phone. I like cars so I read it.

https://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/articles/2018/08/22/the-5-best-column-shift-muscle-cars

The only two on here I would even own are the 442 and the Impala SS 427

And to my knowledge 4-4-2 stands for:
4- bolt main, 4 barrel , dual exhaust.
Not how these blithering fucktards have it.

Not a single Mopar! Come on.
Why not a '67 R/T Coronet or a nicely optioned '68 RoadRunner?

I've seen lots of nice Column shifted cars listed on this forum that were better cars than the 5 that these idiots listed as The Best.

Actually, it is four speed, four barrel, dual exhaust......

The purpose of the article is to point out how odd it is to have the rest of the performance package but yet have a three on the tree.

Neither a 67 R/T or 68 RR was available with three on the tree.

Ok I interpreted it as column shifted, not specific 3 on tree.

Still weren't there any Mopars that came with 3 on tree as a base option?

Does a 57 Fury count?

pretty sure the dual quad 318 ploy came as a column 3 speed manual

how about a 55 300?

all manual transmission, small block B body cars were column shifted 3 speeds until 1971

challenge- prove it wrong.

was there documentation for the 3 on the tree 4-4-2?

Not on the performance models (RR, Superbee, ) but was available on base models (belvedere, coronet).

Plenty of the six cylinders mopars had three on the tree

442 was 4-speed, four barrel and dual exhaust and I think they rearranged it to be 400, (which the early ones did have)four barrel and dual exhaust. Depends on who you ask.

I had a 70 Charger with a three speed on the column, so they were available.

I remember an article in HCC a few years back. The car was a 63 Impala SS.... 250 straight 6 w a 3 on the tree. Very rare
You could order them that way but I don't know why anybody would.

only c bodies that i'm aware of and not very many
Chargers also but only up to a 383 I believe
my buddy back in the day had a brown 70 fury 383 with 3 on the tree
came with the 2 383 emblem call outs on the bulge hood.
the thing was a tank but it would hold its own once you got it going.
a nice highway car

Base engine for a road runner was the 383 and none of them came with a 3 speed on the column. You could get a Charger with anything from a /6 on up.....
