I’m sorry for the confusion, I am paying for my daughters tuition, Auburn University and my son will be in college in a couple of years. My college years are long gone.Try placing an ad on eBay with a reserve price of double what you paid for it. If it sells, then you are ahead of the game.
What will be your major in college?
No Sonny not my college, my kids. Daughter studying to be a dentist, son not sure, he is still in high school. We want them to have a good education to help, you know, Make America Great Again !working your way through college?....."Could use the money, college, teens, already have a 69 Bee. It doesn't hurt for them to have some skin in the game. Part time job, summer job. Every parent wants kids to get a head start. No Sonny not my college, my kids. All true. If I do sell the car I want to buy some tools. My boy is a bright 15 Y.O. Taught him to MIG at 12, made one of those drift trikes from scratch. Would like for him to learn more hands on skills, perhaps a good TIG machine, a better compressor and a few other fab tools. A Mike Rowe kind of skill set can go a long way and also help pay tuition. It doesn't hurt for them to have some skin in the game. Part time job, summer job. I understand completely. I have spent more time on this site than any site ever. I just don’t do it much, I bitch about my kids being on the phone too much and here I am. I plan to uncover the car and take some good thorough photos. I paid 8k for the car and I figgure I can sell it for twice that. I don’t have to sell it but the idea of getting some quality tools and finishing my other car sure is tempting. I will let you guys decide when I get the time to dig the car out and send photos. In the mean time here is a shot of my incomplete Bee.Willie, it is just that only 26 posts,....not known,....we can be skeptical !.......people here have been "screwed" & having doubts or reservations because of a lack of "History" .....
Sonny
Good luck with selling the car and as others said pictures help. Pay no attention to the nay sayers. If your child is serious about being a dentist and has the grades, a very high GPA is needed especially in the sciences then by all means do whatever it takes to help her in any way possible to achieve her goalsI understand completely. I wish. As a 14 Y.O. Kid I saw a green A-12 Bee and it made me want one more than any other car. I couldn’t afford a real A-12 so I found a clone, paid good money and it turned out to be junk. For the last 5 years I have been trying to make it road worthy. Here is the current condition.Other car! Should I dare ask what it is? Hope it's the green bee.
You sound like a Dentist to me. You are spot on with the advice. Thanks for the kind words. My Daughter didn’t get in first round but is now completing a master degree program and will reapply, and yes there’s a charge for everything. These colleges are worse than Disney about creative ways to separate you from your money.Good luck with selling the car and as others said pictures help. Pay no attention to the nay sayers. You sound like a average working man so let me tell you paying for Dental school will be impossible. Not to worry, your daughter will be able to finance the entire amount. When she finishes a residency she will start to pay back her loan, like a mortgage. Of course you could help her financially with items like food and car insurance as a example for the four years she is in school. She will be studying non stop.
However now selling the car will help. When she has to apply to Dental school the applications I'm sure by now are a easy five hundred per application. If she is accepted or not she does not get that fee back. So applying to med/dental schools can be very expensive. Selling the car could help with that alone.
Good luck to you and her, your obviously blessed with a smart child.
Im a retired union Boilermaker. Thats a great idea your daughter had to pursue her masters. I think your meaning dental schools and not colleges. She should take her D-cats again and hopefully do well enough to be accepted. Im sure she is talking to people who know how things work. As you probably know dental school is highly competitive. Tell her to stick with it, the rewards are worth it. Best of luckYou sound like a Dentist to me. You are spot on with the advice. Thanks for the kind words. Thank You. So just what does a boiler maker do? I’m a multi trade building inspector for our local municipality. Not gonna get rich but I’m always home, the hours are good and I can make all of my sons football games.Im a retired union Boilermaker. Thats a great idea your daughter had to pursue her masters.
