Need help on 70 charger project

Hi guys this is my new project . floors and frame were fully badly rusted. bought front and rear complete frames ,trosin bar,floors etc etc.now I removed all stuff except rear frames.i am installing trosion bar like to know from where I start after that ? Complete finish the front section?like to know how to mesure the shock tower on the front frame?

Is it possible if I can get this mesurement want to adjust the trosion bar crossmember .

I have these that I found online from when the second shop (long story) was struggling with mine. Two of them say they are for a 1969 Coronet. The third says 1969 Coronet/Charger. Hope they are of some help.

The charts above will be a big help to make a jig. Unfortunate, but the car should have been jigged, with all measurements taken and recorded before disassembly.

You dont have to have a frame jig, nice to have but not always an option.. I did front rails on a floor scissor lift. I leveled the car using the above B body diagram and went from there, The scissor lift was my level base to measure from. I used a lazer level that shoots a horizontal beam and did all my measurements from that. Plum bob etc, Took some tweaking of the aftermarket rails but after many many hours of checks etc I have a super straight car.

Thanks alot for the info...well I don't have the scissor jack .I will try other way to straight the car with Jack and Lazer.so it's all about technical stuff I have to do.can you do me a favor if you think you have time can you give me the mesurement from trosion bar till rear frame both sides please.

Hi need little help I need these measurement from your car don't want from factory manual.

You can quote me 4 times.. but still not gonna happen! My car is totally assembled.. engine, trans, exhaust, etc all make those measurements impossible.

Here is the new pic .not getting the equal cross measurement it's 1/2 off.from the front of the frame I am getting 36" 1/2 but don't have rear measurement where frame connect the trosin bar cross member.

I am working on a different car project this weekend, but I'll try to take measurements on my '70 Charger this weekend and post them here. It is doubtful that I can get you measurements before this weekend.

My car is resting on its wheels. Maybe I can project some of the frame points on to the floor and take measurements.

Thanks alot ...well I am working on my younger brothers project and I checked the floor are straight. So to me everything looks level. I know with the frame will be much easier. Before removing the front clip I measure from the fire place till rad support the measurement was coming 39 5/8 and I saw some ones project on the forum they set on 40" so like to know what should be the real one.

regarding the location of the front cross member, isn't there spot weld / rust evidence of where the original was welded in place on the rockers / frame?

No it was rusted badly I installed new inner rocker panels.anyways thanks I sort out the location of the trosin bar cross member. . Any idea what will be the measurement of bracket where the hood latch connect center hole to center hole? Here is the picture I am talking about.

Do yourself a big favor,and mock up all the body panels,and set your gaps before you start welding everything together. When you think you have everything where you want it by using the measurements,levels ,squares,plumb bob,and lazer level. just tack,or screw things together just enough to hold everything in place,then install all the body panels,and make sure the gaps are good,and the panels align properly,before welding everything together.

Thx guys i am not worry about body measurement. I can fix that but my problem is on the b body measurement on K member in the top middle there is a hole it shows 54 1/2 but my measurement is showing 52 1/2 .to me looks like who ever made that measurement that is not good for 70 charger.
