For whatever it's worth, the oil itself is a high quality product. I haven't tested Amsoil's other products, so I can't comment

Switching my SRT charger and coronet to AMS, also my wife’s GMC Acadia. The oil will not void factory warranty’s so it’s safe to use on vehicles still under factory warranty

As long as the oil meets car maker specs its good to go.
For example if the car requires API SE fated oil as long as the oil meets SE standard, its okay.
Don't get me started on Dexos.

Hi Bo,... Hope you got that 440 block home ok. Quick question for you.....

With everyone talking about low zinc levels of most oils in our flat tappet motors, I have been running the Valvoline VR1 high zinc in my old cars. Have you, or anyone else, heard how the Amsoil synthetics are in our older hydraulic lifter cars. Any evidence of wiped cams using synthetic oils,.... or more specifically Amsoil synthetic?

Interested to hear!!.....

hey bud, yes we made it back safely and thank you again that was very generous! In short yes AMS does have a high zinc blend for oil older engines. It’s the Z ROD line, available in 10w30 & 20w50. While I don’t have any experience using it on my personal vehicles yet I’m not going to hesistate when it comes time to service my car. The reviews speak for themselves https://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-prod...rod-10w-30-synthetic-motor-oil/?code=ZRTQT-EA

congrats @1967coronet440

I use to use their products many moons ago
racing in the late 70's (?) to early 80's
I had a bud that lived in Concord Ca. that was a distributor

before I got a Torco Racing Oil Products Sponsor
that I used for some 20+ years after

I run the regular 10w40 synthetic in my cars. Written right on the front of the quart that it has the Zinc in it. Runs beautifully!

Thats not a review. That is amsoil generated PR piece.
No knocking the product but the "review" is written by amsoil.
And that has been a big thing about amsoil over the years. "Independent lab testing" has always been done by or paid for by Amsoil and when you try to get more info on the lab you hit a brick wall.
I'm sure their product is fine, its just they arent exactly open about tests, etc.

The product reviews are all over the Internet, including hundreds of reviews on each product on their site from verified buyers. If you’d like to give your take on AMSOIL please create another thread.

You directing it towards my post? I sure as hell think running it over 10,000 miles in one engine and 20,000 in another and it running BEAUTIFULLY means its a review. I've also pulled several engines apart after using Amsoil for over 150K and they show little wear. That, I hope, meets your requirements for a "review"

I have been told that Amsoil and Mobile 1 are the only true synthetic oils. Have no idea if it is true. They said everything else was made from Dinosaur bones. I was thinking someone must have found a lot of dead Dinosaurs.

No, I was talking about the article at the link to amsoils website.
That isn't a review. Its a PR piece.
As I said, it is probably a fine product but a company written article isn't a review.
Hey, lots of people swear by Quaker Maid oil, too.
Not a personal attack but your response is typical of those from many amsoil distributors. They all seem to take it personally as if they made the oil.
Nothing personal, just an observation over the years.
Myself I have seen race engines after a season of constant 8k rpm running on a track that will pull the bottom end through the pan if its not top notch stuff because the track hooks up so well. No real wear using Rotella, Red Line, Royal Purple or Valvoline.
Last point, your comments on actually using the oil weren't posted. All we had was Amsoil's webpage.
And, that's hardly a scientific review, its an observation. You observed good results and that meshes with what I said. It's likely a fine product.
