Wondering if its just me or if others feel similarly about Mark W. the host/owner of this show/shop. I personally don’t care for his attitude and antics. I would like to see more work and sharing of knowledge than the BS Motor Trend is dishing up. Don’t get me wrong having fun is a natural part of this hobby and having a sense of humor is important. If anyone is familiar with Chris Birdsong (Junkerup) he would be so much better. He is real unlike Mark who’s humor looks forced and contrite. Seems like Motor Trend could do a lot better I MHO.

Lots of threads on this. I think he acts like an asshole making faces for the camera. I put up with it due to love for the Mopar brand. The assembler has good tips.

He does get annoying. I'd say it's genuine. He reminds me of a friend from years ago; very dry sense of humor, always trying to take the spotlight with silly/stupid antics. He took a while to get used to. Lol

There's only so many minutes for each episode. They could leave out a lot of Mark's BS and show more car stuff. Maybe do a little more in depth on restoring something little or unique.

I thought it was just me but you guys are describing exactly what I don’t like about him. I have tried to like the show given that I am a Moparfeind but I can’t get beyond his douchebess. It would actually be unique if MT produced a show for us that showed hints tricks behind the craftsmanship.....how about that for an idea..... We aren’t teenage girls looking for more drama sheesh lol

You should watch the early seasons, it was a circus act. Last season seemed better but now SOS.

I always assumed it was an act he put on for the cameras, thinking he was doing what the producers
asked him to do.
That is, until I asked someone (who shall remain nameless, but would certainly know from personal
dealings). Usually very soft-spoken, this person had but a few terse, well-chosen words in reply:
"it's no act."
All I needed to know.

Never dealt with him or even met him but I can say this for certain; NO - ONE likes a know it all. He strikes me as a know it all.

its like this...i watch some of the episodes,as little as possible,
while still trying to see mopars and learn something from anyone else but him.

he treats the people that work for him and around him like Sh1t,
acts like hes just stepped off the plane with the God of mopars and is holding the commandments himself for all to see.
meanwhile hes stroking his donors and suppliers on the fone.

plus how he takes from one build to finish another,
and just flys by night with some of the owners is suspect to me.
this happened to me with a duster 340 build and not only did i take the cops there but they had to keep me from ripping that guy apart and his shop.
he had my motor and trans back in my car within 24 hours and i drove it out of there.

the lowballing of cars he knows the true value of,
all for a promise of being on the show! yeahhh...no.
shows what hes really like, tbh, and hes not my type of person.

it would be nice to have a different host of that show.
there Is some interesting stuff and people on it.
jmo.

I just watched an episode with Mark and Allysa placing "billboards" on a Cuda and cousin Doug cleaning and disassembling a 8 3/4 rear, (that the commentator called a Dana). That's all they did the whole show!

Anyway Mark is a Goof Ball. He's really up on Mopars and I would love to have his knowledge. (And cars!)

Get past the goofiness if it bothers you. There are some good facts to learn from the show.

Yes they could show more per episode if they edit the worm being himself.

Yeah I agree less of Marks BS and more content. Think about all the content just on this forum. Thousands of threads. There is more content than they could shake a stick at.... yet they give you 10% meaningful content and 90% BS.

I just don’t have the time for that much BS ...

Especially irritating arrogant BS

Come on now guys give the guy a break. You've got to admit some of his antics are funny but give him his due he is a walking encyclopedia as far as mopar knowledge goes ( l think so anyway)

Yeah but its so much BS to put up with for the little bits of meaningful info. I believe if a true car guy wanted to direct a great mopar show it would be flipped and the antics like Chris Birdsong’s mullet dirt driving and road trips is so much more in common with guys like us....well the mullet maybe not so much lol

I like the show, I like Mark. He is like Donald Trump in that he knows how to push peoples buttons. Those that think he is arrogant are NOT paying close enough attention. He has creative control of the show so if he wanted, he could edit out every flaw or mistake like other shows do. He leaves them in place because he is not afraid to look silly or "human".
He dances and I laugh. He looks at the camera with a smirk and I laugh. I understand the man and his show because I am very much like him. Those that do not appreciate his antics are the same types of people that I have dealt with my entire life. I make jokes to random strangers and maybe 1 in 10 "get the joke". I play pranks on co-workers, family and friends and most respond with blank stares. Most people seem to be programmed to avoid attention getting behavior that guys like Mark and I engage in. I think that the world would be a very boring place without guys like him.

I think you would do better than Mark on the show KD!

Just watched the latest one. Was driving me crazy every time they called the 8-3/4" a Dana.
