Behind grille blackout questions

Would a B7 blue car have been blacked out behind the grille?

It looks better if you do. B7 should have gotten the treatment but it depends on who was on the line that day. There was a discussion about that not too long ago if I can find it.

I thought I heard the dark colors didn't.... but I'd like to know for certain.

yep all of them got it except black cars they were sprayed from the bottom they were in a pit when they sprayed them. nothing was taped off

I did a color change... I just wasn't sure about B7 cars.

Black cars received the blackout as well........just because the car is black didn’t mean it automatically didn’t get the treatment.....that’s something people have rolled on because it sounds good but is not correct.......

Both of my original 69’s from two different plants received the blackout. One a true survivor and both were black cars......

I just checked an original -under-the-hood 340 e body b7 car, belongs to my best friend. Definitely had blackout.

My 69 GTX has B5 behind the grille and headlights. No issue with seeing behind.

The black out is semi gloss black or flat black??????

Flat black I believe. That's what I used. Looks much better.

Just putting this out there. A can of flat black spray paint doesn't cost that much.

Not a real A12, but cool.
But if it was mine..... there would be blackout behind the grille, and the *** end would come down about three inches.
No offense meant to the owner, my worthless opinion only.

The radiator support needs blacked out for sure. Yellow through the grille looks stupid.

In 67 black, dk green and dark blue cars did not get black out. Look at original photos of GG1, and I think EE1 and black cars which were black to start with.
