REMEMBER DON'T RUN THAT NEW MOTOR ON YOUR NEW HEADERS !! NICE MOTOR
you know, you're pretty okay yourself there, kid. hahaYea, I like you. Couldn't say anything bad about you at all.
By the way, nice looking mill
Not really. It would have been great to build onto this engine, but I already spent way too much on the first build, and it didn't even last 25k miles. Huge disappointment... it was supposed to be about 375 HP, ended up being far less, slightly over 300. Fine for a cruiser, but not for how I use the car.So, do you feel bad that you won't be running poly power anymore ?
Thanks... It's a full roller, so there's no 'break-in' like a flat tappet, so we'll be fine.
Being too lean and overheating the unseasoned headers would be the main reason why they say not to use them.flat or roller tappet - you can still be too rich or lean at start up
Fuel mixture usually has nothing to do with it. Low timing resulting in a late burn puts heat in the headers cooking the coating.flat or roller tappet - you can still be too rich or lean at start up
