I had a customer asking me about the value of a NOS 72 B-Body 440 oil pan that he has. I have no clue on the value of the part, but would consider it to be somewhat desirable, but a very limited market. Any thoughts on what I can tell him? I am not interested in the part, just trying to help him out. Thanks for the input.

As far as value. I bought this Nos one for $75 shipped(had best offer option) was on e-bay for awhile. Just has some surface rust... If his is "cleaner" I would be interested.

If its 72 440HP it would be a 854 6 quart pan. Pretty rare one year only part. Last one I bought I paid $250 for my 72 Rallye 440 car.
Thanks for that info. I got that numbered pan with my 72 and never thought it was a different pan as it had a 440 in it. I just assumed it was the original pan. I picked up that nos one cause the one I got with the car was dented up. I never thought to check to see if the pan was different for the 440hp only...
Guess I would even be more interested... I could pick-up at Carlisle if you figure a price..
