put a bolt back in thru the top of the arm there with a short piece of chain or just use the comealong
throw a piece of rubber up there behind the top arm section way up in that notch/crevice there to avoid damaging the upper and run the cable along that and use a comealong to get it back up????
Get a fat chick to sit in the engine bay.
If you don't know...he's talking about the torsion bar adjuster bolt. It NEEDS to be backed off, until it's completely loose.Ed, please loosen up this bolt to continue!
View attachment 798450 View attachment 798451 Started on my Scarebird install. Got everything off, including the drum backing plate and “ping” the car jumped up a few inches. Is there any way to get the lower control arm back up without dropping the torsion bar??? Any ideas would be appreciated, car is stripped so it’s too light to jack.
First step is to go buy yourself a service manual before you hurt yourself. Then back off the torsion bar adjusting bolt like you should've in the first place. Once the load is removed from the spring you can easily move the LCA. You do not need a come along or weight on the car or straps. Hard to believe that in just a few replies you got a bunch of really bad advice. Makes it tough for people to come ask questions when they get answers like that.
