need help with oil pan and pick up -- 440 engine
what I got is a #699 oil pan and melling 63-se pick tube --well the pick up tube is to long by about 1/2 inch. Is this the wrong pan for this car?
the old pick up is full of debris (rod bearing spun)
can anyone tell me what pan and pick will fit --don't need correct restoration parts
got to order today , engine going in Next Monday
thanks in advance for any help with this problem
Bill

67 Coronet R/T came with a 402 oil pan. I suggest you buy both a pan and pick up. Unmarked reproduction pans and pickups are fairly inexpensive. Bought as a pair they should match.

402 or 695 pan for '66-'72 B body B/RB
Melling screen 63S3 for '67 to '70 (About 8"-8.5" from flat to tip of pipe).

Beware the aftermarket pans. spend up and get a Milodon or better pan or you may find yourself constanly chasing leaks.
So many of the cheapo repops, spectre, mr gasket etc are a crapshoot when it comes to getting a strait flange. I have read good reviews on the summit brand but I think they are made by Milodon.

Thanks guys , ordered up a good one . should be here friday
thanks again

So R413, you give me the dreaded "Red" X because I obviously have NO clue what I am talking about. And then, no post from you explaining why you disagree...

I notice he did that to a couple folks... I'd also be interested in hearing why.
Might learn something here.

67 440 in an R/T has a 402 pan. Not sure what a 187 or 695 pan in reference to a 67 R/T. Probably what the unexplained red X’s were for.

I've seen 187 pans on B bodies, but I think it is a C body pan that some use on A bodies but it may be an A body pan because it clears steering linkage on A bodies. I from memory can't say which. I to don't remember the 695 pan.
