1979 Chrysler 300/ Cordoba - $3500 (Philadelphia)

https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/d/abington-1979-chrysler-300-cordoba/6946984336.html

I'm sell my 1979 Chrysler 300 that I purchased from the original owner's wife. It's a low mile example of Chrysler attempt to resurrect the iconic name plate of the 50's and 60's. These vehicles came White with Red interior for US buyers and this one is nicely equipped with factory Tach, Console with bucket seats and the police issued 360 engine with dual exhaust. The motor was started after the oil pump was primed to make sure it wasn't seized. This vehicle has exceptional low miles and has been in storage for 22 years. It's an unmolested 300 with it's original motor and trans per the owner's wife. It even has the heat shield for the starter. The pictures tell the story it will need some TLC however it's a great base to start with. The floors, trunk and body are in good condition considering it's age. I have owned some unique Mopars in my days and this one is up and coming. Thank you for viewing. Give me a call to arrange a showing.

I emailed the seller requesting more information ei; VIN, I created a space on the registry for it. Hopefully he/she will get back to me.

I can't read the VINs posted by @Northeast300 earlier in this thread.

He can check/verify & update if needed.

Assuming that the VIN is SS22L9R164305, it lands at #37 on the registry! I have another one that is a Canadian appearance version that I am getting more information on and will be added soon as well. In all, I am up to 210 VINs with 49 confirmed junk.

No. See the VIN listing in post #88. The range of VINs is much greater than the production numbers for the Cordoba "300 option package".

In a letter I got years ago from the Chrysler Historical Division, I was told that there were 5,000 slated to be built, per dealer order. There were only 3,811 actually built (there are other numbers that will say more, those would include the Canadian "Appearance Only Package") those that were ordered were built inline along with all of the other Cordobas in 1979 making the VINs non-sequential.

Listing 1979 Chrysler 300 - This 300 was an option and it was only produced in limited numbers. This particular car is equipped with a very "Rare Factory Sunroof". Veh has been in storage for approx 23 years. Vehicle is approx 90% original. Body appears to be a Cordoba platform. I have no knowledge of mechanical condition when vehicle was stored. Please study photos carefully as there is some rust throughout roof and back window area. Based on duration of storage and outside storage, Veh will need some mechanical and body work as seen in photos.
Title is clean and keys are available. Veh has been in non-op status for many years. This vehicle deserves to go into a "Mopar Collectors" garage.

Does anyone know how many were factory Sunroof cars? From what I can find so far my Canadian market car was 1 of 5 with the true 300 E58 package.

Not to hijack, I'm curious how many Bs had sunroof from 75-78 esp. Fury/Charger Sport Monaco 2 doors...
Interest in peaking...
But I thought 1st bankruptcy era records are destroyed or incorrect?

1979 Chrysler 300 with low miles. 49,500 original miles, Florida car. All matching numbers, comes with 360 V8 and 4 barrel carburetor. Factory air conditioning (still works) and fine Corinthian Leather seats. Cruise control, factory 8 track radio, great tires, and etc. The car runs and drives, it has been off the road for about a year so may need a tune up or just a just good road trip to get things moving again. Please do not get this car mixed up with Corodba, the only thing the two cars have in common is the body. Chrysler made 4292 of these cars in 1979 including 477 red ones for the Canadian market. Remember the 300 was a special edition car made in limited quantities. Original window sticker still present (see pic). Please feel free to ask questions. Buyer is responsible for the shipping, I will help with assistance the best I can. Clean NY State Title. $500 deposit is required within 48 hours of the end of auction.

Please call me with any questions. John at phone number in link provided above.
I WILL CANCEL ZERO FEEDBACK BIDDERS. This car is for sale locally therefore i reserve the right to end the auction early.
