Where I’m from in south east Washington we are pretty unique geologically speaking. This area had floods of basaltic lava roughly 15 million years ago. And we had ice age floods from glacial lake Missoula, in Montana roughly 15 thousand years ago.Above is a shot of Palouse Falls and a random basalt flow. (Photos not mine)
