I have a 511 11:1 using the victors cnc'd by Hughes at 330cc and flow [email protected],.700 and a SFT cam 270/276@50 using 1.6/1.5 rocker combo giving me .644/.615 lift on a 110 lobe sep.
I use the Indy 400-3 and a 1100 Dominator by Thumper carbs.
This is in an a body 3380# race weight. 8" 5100 vert by Ultimate with a 727rmvb. A dana with 4.10 gears and 28" M/T ET R radials.
Water pump and fan is belts driven. Best time with electric fans was 10.40@130 and with flex fan 10.66@127. Does this sound reasonable for this street combo? Seens slow to me as my pump gas 408 was faster.
couple other things, headers are 2" Maddogs and I use Caltracs with monos.
Best 60 was 1.45. Best path to 10 o's or aleast low 10's?

Heres another from weekend before with Electric fans. Water pump belt driven.

Change the intake to the smaller square bore version with an adapter for the Dominator to increase signal. Change the rear end gears to 4.88. Hello 10.0..... my 2 cents.

Smaller intake might work. 4.88 way off. That would put me way over 7000 thru traps. 511 runs out at 6700.

You should be around 9.90 with that combo and weight.
My motor/chassis/combo in my coronet was very similar to yours and my 3750lb sled went 10.04 and 131.5x.
Only thing I can think of (if your motor is right on) is the tires. I ran Hoosier 11.25 tread width bias slicks, 29 inches tall . Could be your tires. Your 60 foot should be in the 1.36s or so.

I don't know about way over. What piston, and what bob-weight? BTW, if Mike says tires, I'd look hard at them.

Seems on the 2-4 tenths slow side of maximum ET

I run the new m/t et r drag radial. Best tire I have had on the car including Hoosier qtp. 4.88 gear is not the answer. I think the 8" vert needs to be loser. I once changed gears from 4.10 to 4.30 and saw nothing on my et slip.

Yep. I expected low 10's with this combo. My pump gas 408 ran 10.38@131 best with the same set up.
I would confirm the Ign timing, bump it up 2 degree at a time & see what it does, then back off 2 at a time .

Work on getting those 60' times down to a 1.32-1.38

No way the fan killed .25 ET & 3mph. Was the weather close? I'd look at the converter. That mph should easily go .30 quicker (either day). What does the rpm fall back to on the shift? If it's truly 5100 rpm. it's way tight. Gear would help also.

Ok, that's good to hear. I dont use a weather station, but humidity was 45% at MM 72* and Milan was 60% and 75*. So yes weather was different. What stall/flash would you recommend and still be street driven? Thanks

What is total timing? around 32 degrees?
The O2 meter looked like it got into the 13's on the run? does it need to be richer, or running best where it is?
What is the cam centerline and shift RPM? The large ports on the heads really want high RPM for port velocity.

Yes it was lean, I added 2 jet sizes but didn't get to run it. It ran it's best time at 13. Cam is 110 in at 106. Not sure where to shift but 6700 was the best. Timing seems best at 34

Call Lenny and ask. But Id bet 5600-5700. I run that loose on the street with no issue.

No Trans Brake right, just foot?
Do you think retarding the ignition slightly in high gear would help?

I haven't worked on the tune since I switched to the Hughes Ported heads from the regular MW heads with just mild hand porting, not making the ports much larger.
With the smaller heads and slightly smaller cam, the car was slightly quicker, but I think the larger heads and cam may be making more power, but my near stock suspension can't plant the power.

Yup, Call Lenny at Ultimate Converter...best there is...I ran a 5000 flash on the street (car shows and stuff, NOT every day driving like to and from work) and Lenny told me it wouldn't hurt nothing.
