I had a conversation with my landlord the other day about him buying an 86 chev pickup truck. he was concerned as the truck has a carb and he wanted to know how reliable it would be. he told me and a guy I have known a very long time who was there that his first car was an 83 and was fuel injected ,that he has NEVER had anything with a carb. My friend and I both had a chuckle at this fact. so lets hear from you all

I would think that most everyone on this forum has driven a vehicle with a carburetor, as they never made a B Body with fuel injection.

I know that my wife, who is 36 yo, has never driven a carb car or a stick. She is NOT allowed to drive my Mopar.

I have so much trouble with the magneti- marelli fuel injection (1.8 vw) in my delivery van 2009 that I decided enough is enough and retrofitted to a 2 ventury bocar pierburg carb, no mayor issues since then, 8 years and counting, average 250 - 300km daily, the consumption is pretty much the same, although the carb require more maintenance.

My first car 77 dodge colt. Carbed
Second car 76 Monte Carlo carbed
1968/70 not sure what year it was but a VW Baja bug. carbed. Never drove it on the road.
3rd vehicle 1985 Honda CB 700SC nighthawk
4th Ford EXP carbed
etc etc... So pretty much everything I drove/rode was carbed.

I heard somewhere that today only 20% of drivers can drive a manual shift car.
