True. Amsoil a true synthetic. Most start with Dino and the process qualifies it as synthetic - but it’s not.

I read all the responses to your question and may I say I am the 3rd to answer it? No, I can find dino oil all day in Oklahoma. I also, can find lots of synthetics.

Do they have lifters and push rods in those?

There is no piston engine turning the rpm or subjected to heat like a turbine.

Thanks for the response.Our Wal-Mart stopped carrying dino oil. For three months now only synthetics on the shelf. Also another farm related store quit as well. Don't understand it. I can get it at parts stores but more expensive. Just wondering if this was a Wal-Mart and big chain thing.

In the 1600 mile ride home from your place, I did add 1 qt of the Brad Penn blend. Didn’t seem to hurt it.

Remember that companies pay for store shelf space. If they want to push a product they pay for more space for it. That means something else must go.
I found dino 10-40 was cheaper than 10-30 of the same brand and the 10-30 was the same price as the same brand syn.
