I have a 6 pack/Hemi pan with a stock pickup in a 505... Lots of room... The 2.200 rod journals leave you nearly as much room as the 3.75 stroke with the stock rods..
Should work as long as you use Chevy rods and rod journals. Some of the rods fit better than others so it is something that you have to check. Generally speaking you want to use higher quality rods. You'll want to have a windage tray if you're going to use a stock oil pan. A stock pan isn't really deep enough to work with a big stroker. The crank will whip the oil into a froth if you don't have a windage tray.
Andy what aftermarket pan and pickup would you recommend this will be in my 69’ bee
I use the Milodon road race pan, could not use the external pick up, headers where in the way. If you check the TTI website it says that it should work, but it did not. Ground clearance is excellent. Same as a standard pan.
