Supposed to be 80 tomorrow!! Then on Wednesday the high is supposed to be 46 and the predicted low into Thursday morning will be in the mid 30's and the same for Friday morning while the low into tomorrow morning is high 60's. Keep in mind that temps will be back into the low 70's on Saturday and high 70's by next Tuesday. Seems like Climate change is coming with a whip......

Welcome to Oklahoma! 70 today snow on Wednesday. We get weather from the north and the gulf. Nothing new, been going on for decades.
I think we are in a cooling trend, but my perceptions are purely anecdotal. This year has been more typical to me (mild, and wet).

I'm only 9 miles from Galveston Bay and when the wind is blowing this hard to the north, I know something is fixing to come back lol. Geez, news says 15-20 but that's probably being measured up at Bush AP which is at least 40 miles north of me. Wind here is more like 20-30!

You are in a different weather system than I am. Here, we get the jet stream in the winter and the bitter cold, and strong south winds that smell of salt sea air from the south in the spring and summer. The same here, when the wind blows hard from the south, it follows that the jet stream will drop south and cold air will follow. I am on the edge of the Ozarks and the Great Plains. I visited Galveston when I was a child. One of my fondest memories.

Surfed (if you want to call it that) Galveston in the 60's up until 1970. Best surf was usually in the winter time and did that too. Even went to West Beach a lot where it wasn't very crowded and no rocks if you wiped out. If that happened off the seawall and the board went on it would usually land in the breakers or in the rocks ahead of the seawall. Today, there is no more West Beach due to erosion. The end of the seawall is no more where you could nail it just before the ramp to the beach and you could get airborne and have a smooth landing just before the transition onto the beach. Learned a lot on the sands of WB with what you could and couldn't do with a car on sand :D First time going to Galveston there wasn't even a freeway (Gulf Freeway I-45) and now it's a 5 or 6 to the side lane highway and crowded all the freaking time. When the 'new' 4 lane freeway was first opened, there wasn't much traffic and it was fun to drive because there weren't many cops and doing 90 or better was easy.

Climate change, I call it weather.
72 here on the front range of Colorado yesterday, missed the record set in 1932 by one degree. The real record was probably set back in 1423 but there are no statistics from then. Go figure.
High of 25 today with a low of 8 predicted for tonight. Snowing pretty good right now. Such is Colorado since I have been here my entire life.
Again, weather. We don't have the first clue what it will do.
Rock on mother nature.

Without going political, I believe we are experiencing climate change but doubt humans are the cause however, just maybe we might have a .0001% effect? Seems like every time 'we' try to control nature, she gives us a good slap in the arse.

Well here in NY we get rain every other day, very little snow so far this year, and going to get rain the next three days. Today 50* and mild weather in the forecast, 40ish, which isn't too bad. The rain is the killer cause don't want to drive the classics.

Mid 80's (in your money) here inside my house

We have had a pretty mild winter here in the B. hills. Last Sat. it was 62 here but as you said strange weather we are in the 60's one day and 30's the next the 30's are where we should be this time of year. But have been in the 40's and higher more than not this year. We will take that.

:jackoff: no offence @Cranky

Liberal Climate Change Junk Science - Global Warming.jpg

:bs: it's weather,
our relationship to the sun & all of it's effects on US
or any other natural stuff, caused by many things
volcanoes, natural methane from the oceans,
rotting agriculture & rotting vegetation on land too,
or the oceans flows/cycles El Nina or La Nina it heating & cooling cycles

It's not climate change, we've had different winters & summers etc.
since the beginning of time

or any of the other new "in" names for, just different weather
being forced fed upon US all
especially people that live near coastal regions, have larger fluctuations in "weather"

most of this **** you can blame on North Africa
that's where much of the Easts & Gulf weather originates from

not some MSM propaganda talking points
carry on nothing to see here

I really wish that phrase "climate change" was used properly

I actually remember it being much hotter, longer in the summers
& more snow & rain in the winters...
Especially as a kid into my 20's...

call me crazy, (not literally :poke: )
I don't buy into most of the speculation deal...

70* days are common here in the winter
then 20*- 30* at night
then 30*- 40* the next day & 20* days for a week or more
so is snow or rain when we get the right conditions
sometimes it's crazy weather coming
from a pineapple express from Hawaii
sometimes it a crazy 100*+ heat spell for a week
then 85* for a week, both with clear blue skies
(must be nice/easy :poke: to be a Calif. Weather speculator/predictor)
sometimes it's a crazy polar effect from northern winds
or down right humid from the gulf stream or southern winds

we get it all

My son works in development of devices that monitor and gather pollution and green house gas data. He has developed equipment for years and told me it is all BS in his words. I never really bought into much of it. But that being said working on the North Slope of Alaska we were trained in being environmentally friendly. I have always carried those habits with me. There is a lot we can do to help nature out by leaving as small of foot print as possible. It is more habit than a hindrance.

Kinda crazy around here too. 77 one day, 40 the next. This morning it's 28 and by Saturday back in the 70's.Killer winds for the last several days 50-60mph gusts, sustained 35-40 mph.

Dang, why so hot!? Figured mine would be warmer late in the day since the temps hit the high 70's at the big airport but don't think it got over 75 where I live. Still, the house never got over 72 and it felt on the cool side waking up this morning with 70 lol

Well said!! More habit than hindrance, most of life should be looked at like that.

Right now we have a slight southerly - brings the cooler air from Antartica...so it's only 22C ..which is about 72F

Cloud cover has just gone to reveal a blue sky now...not bad weather for our National Holiday. :)
