Any reason why the dash lights tab would be the only tab on the dimmer switch with no power other than it’s broke? Figured I’d ask before I rip the dash apart to replace it.

This is before the fuse. Black wire off the ammeter feeds the dimmer switch, which feeds several different things from head lights to dash lights. The tan wire that comes off the switch feeds the 5amp fuse that then feeds the dash. For some reason, the tan wore tab on the dimmer switch isn’t getting power, but I have power to everything else, head lights, side markers, etc.

If you have power at B1 (Black 12ga) and B2 (pink 18ga)wires at the headlamp switch with no voltage out at “T” (tan wire) while the park/headlamp switch is pulled out, the switch needs replacement.

Not really. The black wire from ammeter circuit feeds only the headlights. The parking light circuit which also feeds the cluster lighting gets a source from fuse box ( 20 amps fuse ). This makes two 12 volts inputs. Then the cluster light feed ( tan wire ) runs back to fuse box to the 5 amps fuse separated from fuse box buss bars to the cluster/dimmer circuit, which includes radio, ashtray, heater-A/C control faces, along with accesories switches if equipped on orange wire.
