I'm in the assembly stage of my 70 GTX and I'm looking for opinions on tires. The build sheet calls out T87 for tires, which is F70 14 RWL tires.

I want tires that look era correct, but I want to fill the wheel wells. I bought 15 x 8 magnum 500 for the rear, and I would like to 275 70 15 tires. I've used diamondback redline in the past, but I'm looking for the raised white letters to look more correct... any thoughts?

275 are seriously tall. I don't think they will clear the front edge of the wheel cut out, and I'm sure you won't find white letters that size. I have 255 70 15 t/a radial white letters, but I don't think that size white letter is available from bfg anymore either. Most guys here have gone to Cooper cobras for white letters, partially because t/a' s tend to have their letters go brown. I would see if Cooper has a size you could use.

I just bought a pair of 275/60 15's. They fit and look great with the white letters.

Ii have 275 60 15 t/as on my 67 Coronet with no issues, and I've had them on a few Roadrunners...

Yeah, 60s. Op asked about 275x70. Yours are wider and shorter. What brand, what body?
68 Coronet R/T. I know he was referring to 70's but the size I got fill up the wheel wells just fine. I think that was also in his question.

What size rim and back spacing do you have on the 67? I don't think any wheel I have would make me be able to get that much tire on my 67's.

It just has 15 x 7 cop rims, I think the backspace is 4 1/4".

If you want the best look go with L60 RWL Goodyear sold thru Universal Vintage Tire in Ohio. They look awesome, period correct but a little pricey. THe ones I bought for my 68 GTX were polyglas for true back in the day looks. I put F60 x15 on the front. I love the look

For my RS23V0A****** I'm using 275R60-15" on all corners with Mopar Rally wheels with out any clearance issues even at full right or left steering lock. The front ride height is at service high limit, rear suspension is standard Mopar 5 + 2 half leaves and 6 leaves left and NOS Monroe Super 500 shocks all around. I'm using a Dsna 60 @ 4.10: 1 ratio. Speedo is off by 3% at 60 MPH (~ 2900 RPM @ 60 MPH). For me, it looks just right....but this is just my opinion.
