Hy all..

as you may know … i am still searching for a reasonable charger here in Europe.

I found another offer for a very fair Price …… but like Always there is one snag ( i hope this is the Right wording :) )

The car Comes with a very big engine ….. here some Details and also have a look at the pics..

440 7.2 L v8 with 8-71 blower 7-8 psi boost Pro Street car
.030 overbore with 8.5 compression 7000 rpm
roller rockers
custom push rods
isky racing camshaft
2 x 4BL caburatertors
TTi performance super damper
motor is buit to blower specifications

THe engine is built bei bullet racing ...
2500 miles on it
MAkes something arpund 800 hp

The car and Body Looks really promising , but as a daily Driver i have to swap the engine.

Therefore i Need to know at least a Rough indication what this Kind of blower engine will be worth on market..

Depending on the value of the engine … i can buy the car or Maybe not !!!

So i am really curious again About ur Feedback

Thanks a lot
Achim

Need way more info, what block, roller or hyd roller cam, what crank, rods, heads etc etc etc

Is the engine the only concern, for making it a daily driver ? What trans & rear end gear are in it ? Is there a hood ?

unfortunately i dont have more Details About the engine currently…. still waiting for some documents from the seller...
daily Driver is not the Right wording … i should rather say "Weekend Driver" :)

Here some Details About the Transmission …

727 Torqueflight
shift kit & 2500 high stall torque converter

i also found the original add from the seller in the USA

http://findclassicars.com/dodge/191097-1969-dodge-charger-440-engine-with-dyer-blower.html

I will also try to contact the engine builder …. unfortunately i cannot find any phone number of the Company:
Bullet Racing in Mesquite

Do anybody know this company ?

A Rough Price indication is good enough ….. is it 5-8 k or over 10k ???

Thx
Achim

What its worth? What it cost to build? What you can sell it for? All are different. I we looking at shelf forged pistons, stock crank, flat tapped cam, factory heads? Even then I'd bet carbs to pan its worth at least $5K. Maybe more to the right person. Especially if you have documentation. I'll bet it cost over 2 times that to build.

Ask the seller what he thinks the motor is worth. Then tell him to keep it and take that price off the car. Buy it as a roller

That is what I am already asked for but he wants to sell the car just completely...

Thx for ur feedback so far.... Still trying to get more details about the engine

And I just need to know which price I will get for selling the engine...

Thx Achim

By the pictures, it looks like the blower is polished. A polished 8-71 blower alone should be worth $2000 USD if condition is good.

Sounds like a $20k engine if you built it new. 800hp with 8psi is a stout piece. I’m not good at pricing used performance engines. They all seem to be way over priced for me.

A used blower motor is not very sought after. The parts also may have been used prior to being installed in this motor. You just don't know enough about it for anyone to give you any type of estimate.

Sounds like its right down the street from me.......but, whatever they want for it, its probably not the car for you. Unless you want to have the meatiest street car out there......this thing will need a tune and fuel every 20 miles ( or kilometers for you sir.)

Hy all ..
finally i got some documentations About the engine ...at least all the invoices.
The engine and Transmission has been built by Evans Auto Repair in Lavon (Texas)…
The previous owner Paid actually 28k for that built !!!! the components of the engine itself , are more or less stock.
Tomorrow i will call the builder at his shop…. hope the get some more Details About the engine components and the Transmission..
Keep u updated :)
and thx for ur Feedback so far !!!!!

I'd say it's a 8-10 k Motor but to sell it might be impossible over seas

Its only worth what someone will pay for it.....given the times it might not be worth what you might pay all wrapped up in the deal. Why would you even consider this as a daily driver leaves me scratching my head. Are you going to do all the work to convert everything else you later find that needs to make this drivable daily? Whats that worth?

What is your typical commute like?

if that thing is " more or less stock " hell, run it on the street all day

I don't think you would have any problem getting 15K for that motor if you can find someone doing a blown mopar build, there not likely to do it cheaper unless doing it them selves! parting out the blower setup, a lot of the parts are specific to mopar or 440 , blower intake, pulley's,tensioner brackets so there only valuable to someone doing a mopar build!I would think the blower itself is worth 3-4k with carbs if it's been built[clearanced] properly! you should be able to get enough from the blower and parts to build the engine normally aspirated and buy a hood, you still need to deal with the paint!
