While my super bee is in the process of being restored I am using the third member in my A body rear end. I’m getting to the point to where I need to put it back in the super Bee. Is it fine to just buy another one for the super B or should I remove the original from the A body?

If you are trying to keep the Bee original, I would try to find another for the A body. If numbers and originality are not needed it's a little less labor and price wise to just install another in the Bee.

The Bee is a numbers matching car. I wasn’t aware there was a specific number on the third member related to the car.

I did some reading and on 489 cases there is a date code right above the raised casting number.
Not sure how to read it but it should be there.

I believe it's dated to the car, although you can find the correct ratio and housing. It's a numbers car, and my opinion it needs to go back in the car, but it's not my car. I think you wanted opinions and that's mine, but it is your decision.
