Lower tire height

I have a 69 Super Bee with Mickey Thompsons on the back that are 29 inches tall and 12.50 wide. 410 rear. Car is a 4 speed, but bought a TKO 600, that's going in within the next couple weeks. I have 15 in Weld prostars, I think its 10 inch wheel, not sure of backspacing. I like the wide rear tire, but want to improve the ride a bit. Thinking about 295/50/15 on the rear, about a 27 inch tire, but not sure what would be a good match for the front. I guess something about 26 inches tall, but how wide?
 
Not sure what ride you are trying to improve. A shorter tire will make it ride rougher. A shorter tire may help handling characteristics if the suspension allows it.

i like the Prostars. Also, like the 12.50 inch wide tires!! Just thinking they need to be a bit more under the car. I have raised the front a bit already, but could use a bit more clearance for the 7 qt oil pan. Don't want to keep raising the torsion bars and lose some spring in the front.

What are you really looking for ? Tire ride/Flex in the side wall is all about the sidewall/section height and tire pressure.
Low profile ( lower aspect ratio ) tires have less sidewall area to flex/absorb road irregularities resulting in a harsher/stiffer ride.
Quick lesson on tire sizing.
Example : 295/50-15 (295) section width in millimeters. ( / ) symbol for divided by ( 50 ) Aspect ratio, measured as percentage of height to width . (15) rim diameter in inches.

I guess what I’m really after is lowering the rear, mainly and raising the front a little. When I got the car it was a wedge look. I really like the wide *** tires in the back, but could go a bit less. I am looking at comfort, but let’s face it, this is no a car built for comfort. So, I want a cool high horse power Mopar, that I can drive 100 miles now and then
 
I think 205/60/15. Car is not here. Know they are 205, may be 65
 
Does your car have Super Stock springs? Flipping the spring hangars will lower the rear some. It raises the bolt hole for the spring eye.The studs on the hangars are offset so you have to slot the mounting holes on the car a little if you flip them. Ore you could just buy new hangars that move the spring eye location. http://arengineering.com/home-page/spring-hangers/

Just my opinion, but a 205 anything isn't enough tire for the weight that they have to bear on
these cars - which is more than stock in your case, since the *** end is up more, too.
A wider front tire of more sidewall height will do wonders for both ride quality, drivability AND safety.
For example, here's mine:

275/60 on a 15x8 Magnum 500 in rear; 225/70 on 15x7 front.
Car rides and drives like a dream, manual steering and all. Stock suspension and shocks, 440 on the nose.

I agree! Wider and more sidewalk should make a big difference. May have some tires for sale soon!!
