Is there a drawing that shows numerical temp readings on the non rallye temp gauge? This location in the picture shows the needle when my auto meter gauge reads 210. Both senders in the water pump housing. The auto meter is in the front hole and the stock is in the top.

first I would check the temp with a temperature gauge gun to make sure your auto meter gauge reads read correct. I've seen gauges that were way off on the readings. Your oem gauge is where mine sits after it has heated up

I did and the brass fitting read 185.

that's it, your aftermarket temp gauge is off. My aftermarket gauge reads just over 180 with my factory gauge reading in the same location were yours is in the picture.

I'd say your dash gauge is correct. It's about where mine reads at 180 degrees. I think your auto meter is lying to you.

After all the pain and suffering, new radiator (s), pumps, thermostats, housings, hose springs, shrouds, mechanical and electric fans, and countless failed test drives in 90 degree heat, my high temp problem was a $2 auto meter sending unit. Ugh.

The good news is my cooling system is stellar. Converted small block radiator and housing to big block, new US Radiator triple pass unit, OEM mechanical fan, and new reproduction shroud. It made me do what I needed to do I guess. Looks sweet and OEM!

Nice! Glad you got it fixed. Did you have to notch your air Cleaner housing to fit that 2 speed wiper? Most people had to swap in a 3 speed wiper motor.

Nope. I think it would hit the hood air grabber not the actual air cleaner.
