Ive noticed a very light oil residue on the lower part of the air cleaner,Also my friend said the same on his. What causes this to happen? Thanks Dave

I had that same thing with my 440 before the rebuild. I had pretty much blowby. Now there's zero oil out of the breather or on the air cleaner base since break-in. Just hit the 1000 mile mark, no leaks, smoke, or oil loss.

yes your breather system is working. the breather may be soaked in oil remove and clean and let dry then see how much comes back.back in the day when the oil change was done we would wipe the air cleaner out and wash the breather. you could replace it with a baffled one or one with filter element in side to decrease the amount that gets in the air cleaner.

I never noticed until I put the 6 pack setup on,about 4 months ago

Blowby is the leakage of the air/fuel mix past the rings into the crankcase, usually from worn or broken rings. Either way, from an insufficient ring/wall seal.

Gas diluted oil will easily get past rings
Those two work in conjunction to accelerate the wear. Leaking rings permits unburned fuel to enter the crankcase, diluting the oil. A viscious cycle.
