My K Member is rusted through on the drivers side near rubber bushing. Where can I find a new one or good used one? Any ideas? I'm new to this car and need help.

Anyone parting out a 73/74 B body can help? This is a pretty commonly available piece used but is not available new.

@STEPHEN RANSOM

I believe all are the same up until 1979 Dodge, Plymouth and Chrysler including Cordoba and 4 door cars, but are different small block to big block.

Be aware, however that cars built without a front sway bar do not have the mount gussets for the bushings.

Try Wild Cat Auto Wreckers in Oregon. All Mopar yard.Good people to work with.
Closer to you would be Ted Stephens Performance in Alabama.

I have one sitting here was selling as a complete package for $400 with rotors and all but I could sell just the frame for $200 if your interested let me know probably another $140-150 to ship it to a business address
Or maybe you know someone in FL right now that will be driving back your way .
P.m. if your interested
Also this has a sway bar on it right now !

Other than surface rust is it good solid condition? I would take the sway bar with it just to be safe. Let me know. I'm interested if its nice and solid. Let me know. Also just making sure it's for the small block V8.

I don't understand the big block small block k members cuz I pulled a blown 360/727 out of a 76 Cordoba and installed a 400/727 with no problem and never considered the k member being an issue

Small block K frame positions the engine about an inch or so forward.

It may be more pronounced on one side than the other.

I believe they are also slightly closer together, meaning a BB might sit higher.

73/74 already has hood clearance issues with a BB.
Worse on Charger than Plymouth.

So the small block k frame would allow a little more room to get at trani-engine bolts... a big block would be longer though... the trani xmember is consistant... I'm just thinking of putting a 440 in an e body or in a 70 b body where there was a 318 without switching k members. hmmm

Don't know how that could have happened as the engine literally sits crooked making the transmission angled in the tunnel to where you can't even put the transmission cross member on...

I realize the motors sit torward the pass side a bit. Your sayin BP that to bolt the big block into the small block k member the trani would then be to far back for trani crossmember to work... right

Not back to far it's angled in the transmission tunnel... I know I tried it decades ago...

I'm not the only one on earth thats done the swap cuz now that I think of it... I'VE DONE IT TWICE. 75 Coronet 318, put in a 400 without swapping k member

I'd like to put a 440 in a 70 B body with a 318 k member but this time I'll go to Mancini for motor mounts

Wonder if you could do the washer/spacer trick like you do on 318/360 swaps.

It was not a direct drop in for sure something had to be modified. OTHERWISE Chrysler would have not made another K-member for the BB application..

I wish we'd get a little more input. I hate to think there's so few of us knuckleheads left that have tried this stuff
