I cant remember but is there a difference in max wedge rocker arms and regular ones other than the pedestal hold downs on the max heads

I believe some of the rockers are offset about 5/8" because the intake port is a straighter shot to the valve
pocket from the intake opening. The pushrod has to operate moved over a bit.

Are you talking about original MW rocker arms or aftermarket? Original ones were nodular iron which is completely different than the stamped steel rockers that most big blocks use. If you are asking about aftermarket rocker arms then it depends what you're talking about since different heads use different offsets.

original max wedge heads other than the hold downs I have a deal on a set of new cranes

Along with what Andy said.......
Factory iron MW rockers can be used on factory non-MW heads.

And, aftermarket rockers designed to work on factory iron non-MW heads...... can be used on factory iron MW heads.
