cam suggestions for a 12.5:1 511

Combo: 12.5 511 with ported Edelbrock Victor max wedge heads(356@.700) and Indy tunnel ram with twin 750's(1.325 venturi). 8" 5500 vert/727, 4.10/28" tire. race weight is 3400 with me.
Current cam is a SFT 270/276@50-.627/.615 at valve on 110(180*@.200). Best so far with a single 1100 Dominator 10.06@134.
Looking at these SFT cams:
267/271@50-.634/.604 at valve on 108(185*@.200)
272/276@50-.664/.633 at valve on 108(192*@.200)
274/280@50-.668/.641 at valve on 108(194*@.200)
I have not yet ran this combo with t ram, but will before cam change. All opinions welcomed.

I had a similar cam research with a 451 build. And I truly believe that Cam should be one of the last decisions. All depending on build's final numbers. I would consider a custom grind cam? Comp cam did one for me for really not that much more $$$. I was surprised they recommended a slightly lower lift and a little more duration for my 451 with it's E-85 fuel decision, and head with valve spring that I had at hand.

Yeah, i have had several custom ground cams in different combos over the years. The current cam is a custom cam as well. This cam change will be the last piece of the puzzle and i have been researching cams with a program and now looking at these 3. I have the first one listed. It is a custom Bullet, but the other 2 look promising too. Looking for more input. Thanks

Unfortunately, it seems like I have not been able to decide on a cam based on the numbers. The numbers give a good indicator, but the proof is at the track, not even on the dyno and really depend on the lobe design. Trial & error? My bet is all those you listed will produce nearly the same results.

You may reach out to Mr Six pack too he is a wealth of knowledge , super friendly and a good guy to deal with.. He is mopar to the core and won’t try to steer you wrong.. IMO I also have a lot of respect for him as Tom Hoover was his mentor / friend. He is very genuine. Bob Karakisan ( I know I butchered his last name) sorry. Yes, they are are nearly the same when run thru dynomation5. The 267 and 274 are close to each other. The hughes 272 was the best by 10hp and some tq.

I really don’t know if I would add duration. Maybe a more aggressive ramp, higher lift, tighter LSA would be my thoughts. Did you talk to Dwayne? He did the roller that Andy F used in his TF 470 mule. I have that cam on my 10.5:1 512 and it screams. It went 10.18 spinning at 134.5 in a street driven dart first time out. I would think something along them lines with your added compression would really turn it on.

Correct, I think probably similar duration to what you have now with corresponding lobe family of mine.

right, you’d have to go roller. Not sure if you’re gonna get a whole lot more out of a flat tappet unless it gets way out there. I’d maybe try to find ET else where other than swapping around flat tappets. That’s just my thoughts of course.

If I was picking flat tappets for your combo I’d use the middle one you listed.

The middle cam is a Hughes cam. It is the best of the bunch on dynomation5 program. Roller would be best way to go, but i'm not certain the expense is worth the gain.
