1969 Dodge Dart Swinger... she's Home !

Congrats! That's a great addition to your collection.

Thanks everyone!! Great bunch here and appreciate the shared excitement. All I got on A bodies was a single like and a batch of guys telling me I'm a mental case because I'm going to tear the thing apart to clean it up to the way she deserves to be!

Aww man Wayne, she's a sweetheart!
2nd video, I'm thinking "he's gonna get it on the dry concrete inside then do something stupid."
Sure enough, the squirrelly bastahd spins 'em right in the doorway...
I wouldn't know anything about that, eh?
Next time, get her past the door frame. :)

That was probably my "like". LOL Nothing wrong with a nice A body. Even better if it's a Swinger.

It's about Chrysler products and who doesn't think your dart is one bitchin ride. I say good for you!!!

That's one mean sounding 340! Does it have a little bigger cam than stock. Great looking car, hope it didn't get to dirty from trailer to garage saw floor mat. :canada::bananahit:

Not sure what all is side the 340 block and the owner doesn't remember much from it's rebuild 10 years back. Possibly a 484 lift cam and that's about all I got for details. Just more **** to investigate. Has TTI headers on it, H piped and some weird mufflers. Has a fairly nice sound to it, but a bit of a "rattly" sound I don't really like. Wanted to get a chance to run her down the highway, but where I picked it up was snow bound worse than us.

Sounds good and around a stock 340 grind cam. It mellows out on your "in the garage" video.

Mike the mellow out it is more my camera vs the Wife's. Her's gets the true sound, mine the mic is jammed full of 10 years of shop crud! lol

BTW, I put the "fluke" plates from my Bee on to it! I got the WOJ 696 plates in 1985 after my Father died and my Mother transferred the car into my name. Had to get new plates and these were what we got.. for those that know my name J = junior and it was so fitting to get 696. Maybe in need to put a 6 pack on this thing...

Just love that color combo Wayne. If mine had a white interior, it would be like we had a father/son thing going on.

Beautiful car! Thats next on my hit list of Mopars to own. 68/69s have always been one of my favorites.

Well at least she wasn't home sick.. didn't wet the bed last night. Not a drop. Man this thing is a mess underneath. "Restored" isn't just body work and shiny paint job folks! Bonus of the day, I was sold this car... and part of the reason I bought it... as a non numbers, no fender tag, no broadcast sheet vehicle and what do I find today, the engine is it's original heart! I'd better not find a broadcast sheet under the back seat or it's gonna be a conundrum, as I had bought this as a "blank slate" to do what I want with.

NOS gunge and grease! Perfect. Nothing covered up under there. What you see is what it is.

Life's full of surprises. Love it. Thanks for sharing on a B body forum. I'd follow your progress on FABO if you post a link here.

That's a pretty Dart, I love the color. Congratulations sir! All you need now is a C-body like this below and you'll have em all covered or just about anyways.

Please Note- This is a 1970 factory 6bbl Plymouth Sport Fury GT. I DID NOT take this picture, just had it saved since I love the car so much and it is my dream car

Ain't that the truth!!!

I can't tell you how many decent looking cars are out there that are a mess in the suspension department. It is one of the most overlooked areas, and to me, one of the more important ones - I want my cars to handle respectably too.

Great Dart, wouldn’t change anything on it. You are very fortunate.
After seeing the pictures of the chassis, I recant my first comments. Yep, like you, there is a lot underneath that I would change. Still, a beautiful Dart, I’d be willing to take it off your hands if you change your mind.
